Beyond simple document verification, the process involves the collection of a "selfie" or video, which is then processed into a digital face geometry template. As a third-party service provider, Persona is subject to legal discovery and government demands for the data stored on its servers, potentially creating a back-door route for authorities to access the identities of Anthropic’s tens of millions of monthly users.
